This 17.5-hour course is designed to introduce individuals with little or no previous drinking water experience in preparing for the Grade 1 Treatment and Distribution Water Operator Examinations, as well as the Very Small System (VSS) Water Operator Examination. The course is taught over a 5-week period with each class meeting once per week for 3 ½ hours each week. The cost of this course will be $325 for members/$400 for non-members. No class on 4/20 Dan Laprade $829 Books are an additional $139 OSHA legislation passes: Governor Baker signed legislation that will extend OSHA protections to municipal workers. Mary Dozois from the Dept. of Labor Standards had given an overview of these changes at our membership meeting in January, click here to view the presentation. DLS has provided a fact sheet as well. The legislation also creates an “occupational health and safety hazard advisory board” and MWWA has a seat on the committee. The new law takes effect on February 1, 2019.
